Girl, 14, Hit By Car Near Temple City High School

A 14-year-old girl suffered a minor injury when she was struck by a car outside Temple City High School Monday.

TEMPLE CITY, CA — A 14-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle Monday near Temple City High School, but was not seriously hurt, authorities said.

Deputies were dispatched about 8 a.m. to 9501 E. Lemon Ave., said Detective Mike Bayer of the sheriff's Temple City station. He did not know whether the motorist was cited or arrested.

The teen, whose name was not released, complained of leg pain, a sheriff's lieutenant said.

Paramedics transported the girl, accompanied by her mother, to an area hospital to be evaluated, but her injuries were said to be minor, said Inspector Gustavo Medina of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
