La County Makes Cloth Face Coverings Mandatory Countywide
County's public health officials announced on April 10, that the countywide Safer at Home order has been extended until at least May 15.

The County's public health officials announced on Friday, April 10, that the countywide Safer at Home order has been extended until at least May 15 in an effort to continue to flatten the curve of COVID-19 and save lives. County residents must remain indoors except for essential activities, such as grocery shopping, restaurant take-out and doctor's visits.

In addition, all county residents are required to wear cloth face coverings when entering an essential business in order to keep both themselves and workers safe as well as practice social distancing. Face coverings have been shown to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Essential businesses are also required to provide employees who work in proximity to others with a cloth face covering and post information on how they are adhering to social distancing requirements at their establishment.

The Safer at Home order all bans public gatherings and has closed hiking trails, recreation areas and non-essential businesses.
