Man Shoots Wife After Mistaking Her For Intruder In San Gabriel
A San Gabriel woman is recovering after her husband shot her in the early morning, mistaking her for an intruder, police say.

SAN GABRIEL, CA — A San Gabriel woman is recovering today after her husband mistook her for an intruder and shot her, according to investigators.
The woman, who was shot in the arm, remains hospitalized in stable condition. In the meantime, her husband is in jail on suspicion of domestic violence, said Los Angeles Sheriff's Department Deputy Trina Schrader.
The incident happened at 2:25 a.m. Monday near Walnut Grove Avenue and Las Tunas Drive, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.

Authorities confirmed the shooting was considered a case of mistaken identity, but they did not elaborate on the details of the husband's domestic violence arrest. The unidentified husband is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
