Monday Deadline to Register to Vote in South Pasadena Elections

Four candidates are running for two seats on the city council in the Nov. 5 election.

Monday is the deadline for South Pas residents to register to vote in the Nov. 5 elections to the city council and the South Pasadena Unified School District Board of Education.

Registered voters must be U.S. citizens at least 18 years of age. They cannot be in prison or on parole for a felony conviction, according to the Los Angeles County Registrar of Voters.

Four South Pasadena residents, including two incumbents, are running for two seats on the city council, and five candidates are running for five seats on the school board. In addition, City Treasurer Gary E. Pia is running unopposed for the post of city treasurer.

The city council candidates are: Councilmember Michael Cacciotti, Councilmember Philip Putnam, Diana Mahmud and Alan Reynolds.

The school board candidates are: Suzie Abajian, current board clerk Elisabeth Eilers, Julie Giulioni, current board member Michele Diane Kipke and Reynaldo Ramirez.
