Pets of the Week: Shannon the Striking Husky and Albert the Polydactyl Cat
Albert the mellow black cat has one up on all the others.
The week is halfway through, so it's time to start planning this weekend's events. I'd like to encourage everyone to take some time out to visit the Pasadena Humane Society or San Gabriel Valley Humane Society this weekend.
Every week, we feature one pet from each shelter. Since there are so many pets in need of a home, you might just find that by visiting in person you'll connect with the special one who is meant to be yours. If you're thinking about adding a new member to your family -- or even if you're not -- come by either shelter to see if you find a connection with a loving and adorable pet.

Pasadena Humane Society:Meet Shannon, a beautiful, three year old husky mix. She is excited to meet her new owner who will give her a good home. She is very active and needs a home where she will receive plenty of attention and exercise. She would prefer a backyard to run free in, and would also enjoy being your walking or running exercise buddy. Shannon is very smart and would love to take a training class as well. Come visit with her today!

Albert is a sweet cat who likes to purr, and he loves to snuggle up in your arms and is content to stay there. He would prefer a quiet home and would love to have an older owner to keep company as he sits on you while you read or enjoy your favorite television show. Come and visit him at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society today. He's waiting to meet you!
