Police Blotter: Bicycle Thefts, Auto Burglary and Parcel Theft

South Pasadena Police reported that a motorcycle was stolen during the week of Wednesday, January 26 through Tuesday, February 1.

Between 11:45 a.m. on Monday, January 1 and 3 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, at the 1700 block of Ramona Avenue, reported that an unidentified suspect took a bicycle from an unlocked garage.

Between 9 a.m. on Sunday, January 23 and 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, at the 1700 block of Grevelia Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered an unlocked garage and took markers, ceramics, miscellaneous tools and clothes.

At 11:36 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, at the 400 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect who was intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

Between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, at the 1400 block of Alhambra Road, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a residence through an unlocked rear door and took a cell phone and charger, laptop computer, digital camera, jewelry and cash.

At 3:52 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, at the 2800 block of Alhambra Road, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect was stopped for a traffic violation and was found to be in possession of marijuana. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Friday, January 28, at the 1000 block of Arroyo Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect opened an air conditioning unit and cut numerous wires.

At 2:32 a.m. on Friday, January 28, at the 700 block of Valley View Road, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect was seen pushing a small cart and two bicycles. According to police reports, South Pasadena Police found the suspect was on probation and possessed burglary tools. Officers searched the suspect’s residence and found ammunition that was in violation of his probation, police said. Police also reported that one of the bicycles was also stolen and they arrested the suspect.

At 11:45 a.m. on Friday, January 28, at the 1500 block of Milan Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim saw a suspect walking away with a parcel package delivered at a residence. Between 4 p.m. and 11:35 p.m. on Friday, January 28, at the 400 block of Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police reported that an’08 Yamaha R1000 motorcycle was stolen.

Between 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 29 and 10:39 a.m. on Sunday, January 30, at the 1700 block of Grevelia Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed the window of an’02 Toyota and took a stereo.

At 1:58 a.m. on Monday, January 31, at the intersection of Huntington Drive and Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect was found to have an outstanding warrant and possessed methamphetamine and related paraphernalia. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Monday, January 31, at the 1100 block of Garfield Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect took a bicycle from a victim’s front porch.

Between 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 31 and 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, February 1, at the 300 block of Grace Terrace, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect took a portable GPS, jewelry and two I-pods from an ’07 Mazda.

Between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, at the 1400 block of Oak Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect took a drain-cleaning tool from a rear yard.
