Police Blotter: False Registration, Commercial Burglary and Assault

South Pasadena Police are still looking for men who photographed three minors on Monterey Road.

Auto Burglary

Between 10:55 p.m. and 11:10 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, on the 1600 block of Fremont Avenue, reported that an unidentified suspect smashed the windows of an ’03 Honda Pilot and an ’08 Honda Accord. According to police reports, the suspect opened the Honda Accord’s trunk and activated the alarm.

Between 10:55 p.m. and 11:10 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, on the 1600 block of Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect attempted to pry open the door of an ’09 Infinity G37.

Residential Burglary

Between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, on the 1300 block of Garfield Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect is an acquaintance of a victim. According to police reports, a witness saw the suspect take a painting from the victim’s residence.

Between 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19 and 12 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, on the 1900 block of Alhambra Road, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect pried open the sliding door of a residence and removed gold coins.

Commercial Burglary

At 2:20 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, at on Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that suspect one entered the store and placed Red Bull drinks in a hand basket. According to police reports, a second suspect drove up to the store’s entrance and the first suspect ran out of the store into the waiting vehicle. The first suspect is described as a 20-year old light skinned white male with black wavy hair, between 5’10” and 6’2, approximately 200 pounds wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. The second suspect is described as a 20-year-old male. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a white 2-door truck.

At 2:42 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, at on Garfield Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect entered the store and placed Red Bull drinks inside a hand basket. According to police reports, a market employee saw the suspect exiting the store without paying and chased after him. The suspect entered a vehicle and drove away, police said. The suspect is describes as a 25 to 30-year-old white or Hispanic male, between 5’6” to 5’10,” wearing a navy blue shirt and plaid shorts.

At 5:27 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, at Ralph’s on Garfield Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect hid groceries inside of his pants and exited the store without paying. The suspect is described as 47-year-old white male from Pasadena.

Between 8:34 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. on Monday, July 25, on the 500 block of Mission Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed open a glass front door.

D.U.I.

At 2:26 a.m. on Sunday, July 24, on the 1200 block of Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

Theft

Between 2:24 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, on the 1800 block of Via Del Rey, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect took a parcel package from a victim’s front door.

Assault

At 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, on the 1300 block of Garfield Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect assaulted a victim, who is a roommate.

False Registration

At 1:04 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, at the intersection of Alpha Street and Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect with false registration tabs on a vehicle.

At 12:58 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, at the intersection of Fremont Avenue and Spruce Street, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect with false registration tabs on a vehicle.

Annoy/Molest Minors

At 6:10 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, at the intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue and Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police reported that three 12-year-old victims were sitting outside a store when a suspect drove by and took pictures of them on his cell phone. For more on this crime, click .
