Police Blotter: Suspect Sleeps at Fair Oaks Cigars

The following crime and arrest information was supplied by the South Pasadena Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction. 

Stolen Vehicle

Between 11:18 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, on the 1700 block of State Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a '98 Honda Civic was stolen. 

Residential Burglary

Between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, on the 1100 block of Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered an unsecured garage and removed a bicycle and iPad.

Between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, on the 1900 block of Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect forced open the door to a residence and removed jewelry. 

Between 4:50 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, on the 1300 block of Oak Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed the window of a residence and removed a laptop computer and backpack.  

Commercial Burglary

On Tuesday, Jan. 31 at Arroyo Park, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect cut the padlock to a storage bin and removed soccer equipment.

Assault

At 5:40 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, on the 1400 block Lyndon Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect  and victim, who are acquaintances, got into an argument. According to reports, the suspect drove onto the victim's yard and yelled profanities. 

Possession of a Switchblade 

At 4:24 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, at the intersection of the 110 Freeway and Orange Grove Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect walking on the freeway with a switchblade.

Minor in Possession of Tobacco

At 3:36 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, on the 1100 block of Oxley Street, South Pasadena Police arrested a juvenile smoking a cigarette. 

Drunk in Public

At 2:46 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Fair Oaks Cigar, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect entered the store and fell asleep. According to reports, the suspect was intoxicated and refused to leave the store. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

DUI

At 1 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5, on the 200 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol. 

At 3 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5, at the intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue and Rollin Street,  South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol. 

At 7:21 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5, at the intersection of Flores de Oro and Camino Lindo, South Pasadena arrested a suspect involved in a traffic collision found driving under the influence of alcohol.

Theft

Between 10:45 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, on the 1500 block of Mission Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect entered a busied and removed a day planner, checkbook and wallet. 

At 10:34 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Pavilions on Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered the woman's locker room and removed debit and credit cards, glasses, cash and make-up bag from a purse.
