South Pasadena Kill Suspect While Serving Warrant
"Something went wrong" when gunfire erupted as South Pasadena police officers served a warrant in Burbank.
SOUTH PASADENA, CA — The South Pasadena police Thursday were involved in a fatal shooting in Burbank, authorities said.
The shooting occurred about 8:35 a.m. at Broadway and Amherst Drive, according to the Burbank Police Department.
South Pasadena police were serving a warrant at a residence when the gunfire erupted, Burbank police said.

Burbank police Sgt. Cindy Guillen told the Los Angeles Times that "something went wrong."
"They got involved in a shooting, and we have one male subject deceased at the time," Guillen told the newspaper.

There were no injuries to anyone else in the residence or to the officers involved, she added.
It wasn't immediately clear if the dead man was the subject of the warrant or if he lived in the home. Details about the warrant were not available.
