The City of South Pasadena's (City) Planning Commission agenda for its March 10 meeting is now available.

SOUTH PASADENA, (Calif.) – The City of South Pasadena’s (City) Planning Commission agenda for its March 10 meeting is now available. Planning Commission Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and start at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, located at 1424 Mission St.

Discussions and presentations will occur for the following items:
- General Plan and Specific Plan Updates – Presentation and discussion on Form-Based Code and development standards for the proposed General Plan Update and Downtown Specific Plan.
- Senate Bill No. 330 Part 2 – Presentation by the City Attorney on the Housing Crises Act of 2019.
- Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) Threshold Methodology – Presentation and discussion on compliance with Senate Bill No. 743, which requires agencies to start using VMT in identifying environmental traffic impacts according to California Environmental Quality Act.
Public Hearings will be held for the following items:

- Single-Family Home Addition at 455 La Terraza – Proposal for an approximately 627-square foot addition to an existing two-story single family home.
- Grocery Outlet at 1401 Huntington Drive – Request for a use permit to allow the operation of a grocery store and to sell beer, wine, and distilled spirits in an existing vacant retail building (former Big Lots store).
- Moffat Street Extension – Proposal to install a private roadway extending westward approximately 600 feet from the terminus of the existing Moffat Street. This private road will provide access to seven lots in the City of Los Angeles through an easement in South Pasadena.
- Senior Housing Development at 625 Fair Oaks –Proposal for a senior housing development of 86 rental units. 13 units will be reserved for low-income households, remaining 73 units will be market rate rentals for residents 55 years and older.
The Planning Commission serves as an advisory board to the City Council on matters pertaining to subdivision, zoning, parks and boulevards and beautification of the city as well as on subjects that have to do with the orderly and consistent physical development of the city.
