SPACE Arts Center Summer Camp, Tinker Studio & Teen Workshops…
So many wonderful summer offerings for children and teens at SPACE Arts Center, staring in June. TINKER STUDIO - Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, ARTS CAMP from July 20 Aug. 7, TEEN WORKSHOPS - 21st Century Art, Writing Lab, and Photography.

*SUMMER CAMP*

This summer’s theme is HOW TO BE AN EXPLORER OF THE WORLD with three unique week-long sessions allowing children to see themselves, their community, and the world through a different lens inspired by art. Students will explore and learn a variety of art skills including drawing, painting, building, clay play, sculpture, collage, printmaking, and more. Days feature morning workshops and afternoon programs with outside play, guest artists, games, group projects, and walking field trips.
Week #1: Fantasy Land
Week #2: Modern Designers
Week #3: Hands-On Travelers

June 23 - July 9 Tuesdays & Thursdays, 2 - 4 p.m.
A drop-in art studio! Come tinker & play with a variety of materials - paint, draw, sculpt, make and build stuff. Past projects include creating costumes, paper planes, robots, handmade books, found object cities, and more.
*TEEN WORKSHOPS*
21st CENTURY ART
July/August For ages 12 & up July 28 - Aug. 13 - meets 6 times Tuesdays & Thursdays: 4 - 6 p.m.
Come create fun and unique art projects based on contemporary art, using inspiration from artists like SWOON, Nick Cave, Cindy Sherman, Chuck Close and Shepard Fairey.
WRITING LAB
July 15 - Aug. 12, meets 5 times Wednesdays, 4 - 6:30 p.m.
Writing alone can be a challenge, so come do it with people who like to write. Discover what makes that story great, then do fun and challenging writing exercises with prompts.
LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY July 12 - Aug. 9, meets 5 times Sundays, 2 - 5 p.m.
A hands-on approach to doing fun fashion and lifestyle photography, learning how to create your own unique style through editing and portraying the “feel” you want to convey with
