Teen Arrested in South Pasadena Park Bat Beating
Police allege a 15-year-old boy beat a man with a baseball bat at Garfield Park.

SOUTH PASADENA, CA -- A 15-year-old boy allegedly hit a 23-year-old man with an aluminum bat in a South Pasadena park, and was arrested, police said Sunday.
Police were dispatched at 12:54 a.m. Saturday to the 1700 block of Grevelia Street, after reports of an assault with a deadly weapon were informed that a fight occurred between two males. One of the combatants was struck in the head by a glass bottle, the South Pasadena Police Department reported.
Officers were told that a suspect had fled the location towards Garfield Park, 1737 Mission St. A suspect, a 23-year-old man, was found in the park bleeding from multiple lacerations to his face and head. Paramedics rushed him to an area hospital, where his condition was not immediately known.

``After further investigation, officers learned that the suspect received the wounds to his face and head from being struck multiple times by an aluminum baseball bat by the victim, a 15-year-old male," police said in a news statement.
``All parties involved were interviewed and the investigation subsequently led to the arrest of the 15-year-old male."
