Teen Throws Hot Coffee in Would-Be Rapist's Face
A 17-year-old girl attacked while walking to school in El Monte was able to escape her attacker by throwing her coffee in his face.
A quick thinking teen was able to escape a would-be rapist in El Monte by throwing hot coffee in her attacker's face.
Now police are warning residents to be on the lookout for the man.
Today police circulated a composite drawing of the man who accosted the 17-year-old girl on Monday.

The teen was walking to school near Mildred Street and Granada Avenue when she was approached about 7 a.m. Monday, police said.
"The suspect, who spoke Spanish, approached the juvenile and made sexually explicit comments to her," according to a police statement. "The suspect then committed a sexual battery on the juvenile and grabbed her. The victim poured hot coffee on the suspect's face, which caused him to release her."

Police circulated a composite drawing of the man, described as Hispanic, about 30-40 years old, 160 pounds and 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 8 inches tall, with black hair, dark eyes and a dark complexion.
