After falling behind early to the visiting Glendale Hoover Tornadoes, the Tigers came back to salvage a 7-7 halftime tie. Despite numerous squandered scoring opportunities, most notably a 62 yard TD negated by a penalty and a missed field at the end of the half. Coach Marty Conrad's players rallied in the second half to come back for a21-7 victory at the home opener.
