Vendor Accused of Selling Food Kept in Unsanitary Conditions Pleads Guilty

Vendor and business partner immediately sentenced following court appearance.

A vendor with the South Pasadena Farmers Market and her business partner each received a sentence after pleading guilty to selling spoiled milk and improperly labeling food, according to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.

Sharon Ann Palmer, 52, who owned Healthy Family Farms in Santa Paula, was immediately sentenced by Superior Court Judge David Horwitz to three years summary probation, ordered to complete 40 hours of community service and fined $1,300, D.A. officials said.

Eugenie Victoria Bloch, 59, a volunteer, was sentenced to two years summary probation, officials said. Three counts of conspiracy against her were dismissed.
