Woman Struck, Killed Crossing Street in Alhambra
The driver, who was not cited, remained at the scene and police do not believe drugs or alcohol was a factor in the accident.

ALHAMBRA, CA - A pedestrian was struck and killed by a van today in Alhambra, police said.
Paramedics sent to Main and Cedar Streets about 9:45 a.m. took the woman to a hospital, where she died, said Alhambra police Sgt. Jerry Johnson. Her name was withheld, pending notification of relatives.
The motorist remained at the scene and was interviewed by police.

"The preliminary investigation indicates that the pedestrian was walking northbound across Main Street when she was hit in the crosswalk by a van traveling westbound," Johnson said.
"The cause of the accident is still being investigated, but driver intoxication does not appear to be a factor," he said.
