Firefighters confirmed the blaze was burning along the tracks at the Daly City BART Station. San Francisco fire officials joined North County Fire Authority, BART police and Daly City police in a Unified Command to coordinate the response.

The fire was contained around 7:44 p.m. and extinguished with no reported injuries, the fire department said.

The cause of the fire remained under active investigation Tuesday night.

The blaze caused major BART delays and also disrupted nearby Muni service. SFMTA said several bus lines experienced delays and reroutes because of fire department activity in the area.
