100-Foot Tree Falls Into Studio City Home

STUDIO CITY, CA -- A 100-foot tree toppled into a Studio City home Saturday causing damage but no injuries, authorities said.
The 100-foot tall, 40-foot wide tree fell about 1:37 p.m. into 11202 West Canton Dr., Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Amy Bastman said.
An urban search and rescue team responded "to assist with structural stability," Bastman said. The Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety was also summoned to the scene.
