Billy Joe will be doing a few solos in the show as well. His playing can range from smooth to “Crank It”!!! Second, one of Billy Joe’s very best friends and a great find for Sheryl, Johnny Zell, her fabulous bassist, who also covers the country. Sheryl describes him as "a natural." She's please to have him with her at the Oyster House and also as part of her worship team!

Third is Sheryl's very good friend and drummer Mike Levy! "I don't know how Mike does it all," Sheryl exclaims. "He is lead drummer for several bands: a 50’s band, a jazz band, a rock and pop band, a worship band drummer and he holds down a big day job! Pretty impressive!"

And finally a new addition for Sheryl is Mr. Mike Saul on keyboards. Sheryl is impressed that he "took it upon himself, not ever having played with me before to create all my charts and the arrangements." Sheryl is very grateful to Mike and on top of that considers him "one incredible keyboardist!"

Showtime is 10pm until 12 midnight. As always, there is NO COVER CHARGE, a steal at twice the price. Arrive early for fabulous fare. Kitchen closes at 11pm. You'll find plenty of free street and/or back lot parking.

Sheryl attributes her vocal training as coming from God. "Seriously he gave me my voice! There is no other explanation!" As far as formal training, she had a very short stint with Seth Riggs, many many years ago. Sheryl used to watch Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Cher and some other greats walking out of Seth’s door, as she was walking in and the funniest thing was, that she had to give up her lesson slot for Sonny Bono!

Barbara Streisand was a big inspiration for Sheryl's Broadway and standards tune background. After listening to the Funny Girl album, she was hooked even though only about 5 or 6. Sheryl admits, "I actually knew that I could sing at 3."

Other role models include Chaka Khan, Kenny Loggins, Nancy Wilson, Anita Baker.

Some of Sheryl's greatest early experiences were with an original band, where there were standing room only nights at The Roxy, The Rainbow, The Whiskey, The Troubador, The Improv. She sang with her good friend Mark Moulin, who is still playing today and wrote some phenomenal tunes!

A highlight of Sheryl's career is being worship leader for Lee Benton Ministries at CBS studios and Jesus Is the Answer Church. She has an incredible passion for this genre of music, as "I get to sing to God and the music is powerful and electric!!!"

Sheryl's advice for aspiring artists is find the best venues to sing, be yourself (don’t try to emulate someone else’s style), where they will support and champion you!

When asked about the significance of music in her life, Sheryl expressed: "I couldn’t live one day in my life without being able to sing! It is my passion! It is a huge gift and blessing, never to be taken for granted! Making music makes the listeners happy, changes their mood, changes what may have been a tough day to a great day!!!"

Sheryl encourages everyone to attend her upcoming performance at the Oyster House. "Just come on down! We will welcome you in and entertain you to the very best of our abilities!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!
