Late-Night Eats and Drinks in Studio City and NoHo

Whether you're in the mood for gourmet fare, a deli scene, tiki-bar kitsch or neighborhood cool, you can find it after midnight.

The Federal Bar is a restaurant/gastropub and entertainment venue open Thursday through Saturday until 2 a.m., and only until midnight Sunday to Wednesday. After 11 p.m. the full bar remains open and the small bites menu is available, including such comfort food dishes as mac 'n' cheese and  hamburger sliders. 5303 Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood, 818-980-2555

Firefly is the first eatery to put Studio City on the culinary cool map. It's open for dining Monday through Saturday until 2 a.m., and until 1 p.m. on Sunday.  Sip a martini in the outdoor covered dining room or in the library bar area and order off the special after-hours menu, which includes fried cicchetti olives, croque madame, fried calamari, prime burger, hangar steak, mussels and a cheese plate. 11720 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, 818-762-1833

The Fox and Hounds usually has rockin' entertainment until 1 a.m. as well as the full menu, which includes British faves such as shepherd's pie. The full menu is offered until 1 a.m., and for the last hour, it offers dishes off the appetizer menu. 11100 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, 818-763-7837

Jerry's Famous Deli is open 24 hours, so the sky's the limit from its extensive menu, including pizza and breakfast all day mixed in with deli favorites and a full cocktail menu. 12655 Ventura Blvd. Studio City, 818-980-4245

Laurel Tavern is an urban neighborhood watering hole and hangout. The kitchen shuts down at 11 p.m., but the bar is open until 2 a.m. 11938 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, 818-506-0777

Mexicali Cocina Cantina features a late-night happy hour from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.  Appetizers start at $2.95, drink specials from $3.75, margarita pitchers, $16.75. The regular menu is also available. 12655 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, 818-985-1744

Page 71 (P71) is a sleek, modern bar-lounge that attracts a 20- to 30-something crowd with DJs, cocktails, a makeshift dance floor and an outdoor  patio.  There's no food, so eat before you go. 11916 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, 818-980-4811

Rocco's Tavern is a sports bar that offers pizza, pasta, chicken wings and more with inside or outside seating with TV screens all around. 12514 Ventura Blvd.,  Studio City, 818-985-9876

Tiki No is a full-on hipster tiki bar with kitsch decor, tropical drinks, DJs, karaoke and an outside patio with a fireplace. No food, but a food truck often lingers outside. 4667 Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood, 818-766-0116
