
Rio Vista Elementary School recently received ten Promethean Interactive Whiteboards as part of a third phase of bond funding for 41 schools in LAUSD Board District 3 represented by LAUSD Board Member Tamar Galatzan. The Promethean Boards are being used in all second through fifth grade classrooms providing a more effective instruction opportunity for a wide range of students.
“We are so grateful to benefit from these funds, and thank Tamar Galatzan for supporting our great community school,” said Ari McIntyre, president of the Rio Vista Elementary PTA. “Our teachers are thrilled about the learning opportunities the Promethean Boards provide and our kids are excited about the new ways they are learning in the classroom. We can’t thank Tamar or LAUSD enough for supporting us.”
Rio Vista Elementary is a diverse neighborhood learning center which serves approximately 400 families in Hollywood, North Hollywood, Studio City and Toluca Lake with an API score of 905. The principal, staff, teachers and parents are committed to providing a safe, supportive learning environment for all stakeholders and ensuring access and equity in curriculum, which allows individuals to achieve to their highest potential. The Rio Vista Elementary school experience prepares students to transition successfully to middle school.
