She has been a star for the Wolverines in water polo. As a freshman in 2008 she earned a spot on the team, and the school eventually awarded her a Most Valuable Player honor. Their team did well through the playoffs that year and then beat the final team, Los Osos, 10 to 7. The squad romped through league play undefeated, breezed through playoffs and held off an aggressive Los Osos team to win the final game 10-7. It was the first championship for water polo in the Harvard-Westlake School's history. She is planning to attend Stanford in the fall. Junior Max Fried from Van Nuys Montclair Prep is winning the male portion of the athletic award.
