Ashley Grossman Wins Southern California Jewish Sports Hall of Fame

The Harvard-Westlake junior gets named prestigious honor.

a local resident who goes to school at will receive a prestigious athletic award from the Southern California Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.

She has been a star for the Wolverines in water polo.

As a freshman in 2008 she earned a spot on the team, and the school eventually awarded her a Most Valuable Player honor. Their team did well through the playoffs that year and then beat the final team, Los Osos, 10 to 7.

The squad romped through league play undefeated, breezed through playoffs and held off an aggressive Los Osos team to win the final game 10-7.
