If you go the movies or watch TV then you have seen Colfax Meadows. The industry has a long relationship with the area. It is said that when Mack Sennett built his Studio Colfax Meadows was used to house actors and studio workers. Now the beautiful, tree lined streets are used for shoots. In fact the area is used a lot. So much in fact that the Los Angeles City Council has put together a set of special conditions allow the continued use of Colfax Meadows for filming and ensuring that residents are being treated in a respectful and courteous way.
Take a walk through Colfax Meadows and I’m sure that you will recognize a house or two from the movies. Most Recently Blythe Danner filmed ”I’ll See You In My Dreams” on Valley Spring Lane. The Farmer’s Insurance Commercial now being shown on TV was shot at Acama and Beck and somewhere in this quiet, charming neighborhood you will find the house where “Pulp Fiction” was shot. The area is also called home by a lot of the people that star in and work on these films.
The boundaries are Moorpark to the north, Colfax to the west, Tujunga to the east, and The Los Angeles River to the south.
