These cool classy sophisticated soirees began 15 years ago. There have been 80 dances in all. John Seeman has been hosting them on his own for the past ten.
John loves “Seeing people having a good time; Seeing a man and woman meeting for the first time; seeing them both smiling and content; Seeing people greet friends they haven’t seen in a while. I’m happy in general when I feel folks are enjoying themselves.”
He also finds pleasure in welcoming guests as they arrive and seeing old and new faces. For John, “It feels like a real community of friendly, supportive people.”
John looks forward to working with volunteers who have given so much of their time to providing a great experience; Dancing to some good old rock n’ roll; and doing whatever’s necessary to make sure everyone’s having a wonderful time.
“To make sure you get your money’s worth,” is John’s mission, which is why, “Everything is included: Live Band, Complete Dinner,Dessert, Wine, Beer, Soft Drinks… Plenty of free parking.”
Neither John nor the many volunteers receive any money. Admission all goes to food, band, decorations, room rental, etc. He reveals, “We are completely self sufficient.”
John hopes you will join him in this spectacular final celebration 2015. The last extravaganza had over 200 attendees and they expect a similar strong turn out. He encourages you to “Give us a try. If you’re not happy with your experience, I will refund your money, no questions asked.”
