BMW Jumps Curb Trapping Sleeping Homeless Man On Ventura Blvd.
The driver of the BMW was reportedly arrested on suspicion of DUI.

STUDIO CITY, CA — A BMW jumped the curb in Studio City, critically injuring and trapping a sleeping homeless man Wednesday morning. The car's driver was handcuffed and arrested on suspicion of DUI, according to reports from the scene.
The man was sleeping on the sidewalk at Ventura Boulevard near Vineland Avenue at about 1:20 a.m. when he was struck. Witnesses told CBS2, they saw the BMW driver gun it before jumping the curb.
"I see this BMW out of nowhere," witness David Salkin told CBS2. "He was at a stop. I guess he was just showing off, gunned it, lost control, started swerving, car hit the sidewalk, jumped up in the air and just slammed back down."

Officers responded and found the man trapped beneath a BMW, according to Officer Tony Kuey of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section. Firefighters freed the man and transported him to a hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the BMW was handcuffed at the scene and police said he would be arrested on suspicion of DUI, CBS2 said.
