Blog: Planning Your Ending!

Not something you want to think about, but do it for your kids!!! Pre planning is just easier for everyone.

After a friend of mine said to me, "what you mean I'm not even going to get what I wan't when I'm dead?" I went on a mission.  A mission to help people plan there final arrangements. I got my cemetary sales license. Yes, its true.

You have not heard from me for a while on Patch since I have been overwhelmed by unfortunate life things.

It started two years ago when my Mother died suddenly and I had to do an entire funeral and estate by myself.  Then I had to start the care for my elderly Father who has been in and out of the hospital, nursing homes and caregivers.

He now has severe dementia and he called me a Communist yesterday as he showed me the stab wound he got on the fourth floor of this two-floor facility that I have him in (he did not get stabbed or he is a superhero). As if things could not be more fun, I got a divorce after 21 years during this time.

My ex has fought me over every little thing including life insurance, he believes his new wife that he doesn't even have yet, should get the policy I have paid on for 17 years and not me and his 13 year-old son.

So I found myself in a predicament of not having any plans or life insurance for My 84 year-old Father.  I tried to get a million dollars but the premium was $1700.00 a month, No joke!  I know what your thinking, she actually called?  Yes I did.

So when my Dad got pneumonia I decide to pay upfront for his entire funeral and have it done.  I thought I was a genius, but really its a necessity.  We are all going to end up dying.  Having it planned would have made things easier for me when I had to do my Mom's.

The expense alone helps and now it is paid 100%. Now you can even finance it for five years making it so you do get what you want when you die.

I am now a wealth of information at getting the VA benefits when a Veteran dies. Please email me if you need help and stay tuned for my posts about these life experiences that make you stronger than the Iron Lady.

They say that if it doesn't kill you it makes you stronger, well the only thing that I can't handle now is my 13 year-old son, that is harder than anything.  Maybe the best revenge to teenagers is not pre-planning so your kids have to pay for your death.  Now that is funny!!!
