We are set for another night of music at Jumpcut Café at 13203 Ventura Blvd Studio City 91604 July 19th between 6pm and 10pm. This will be, as always, an up close and intimate performance. Jump Cut Cafe serves awesome coffee drinks, sandwiches, soups, salads and taste treats. There will be no cover charge for this event.
The line up for the night is as follows.
6pm to 6:30pm---Simon Lucas
Simon is a ‘folky’ from England. He has been in the U.S.A. for 30 years but still
speaks funny. He collects stringed instruments, some of which he can even play. He normally plays guitar, but has been known to pick up a string bass, dulcimer, cuatro or marxophone. He has a deep voice and sings a mixture of Irish, Scottish, Country and anything else he hears that he likes. He also has a stock of amusing songs, which sometimes he can be bribed into singing. He refuses to make CDs, so if you want to hear him, you will have to find him onstage playing live.
6:30 to 7pm---Megan Blanchard
Megan Blanchard is a singer-songwriter/story-teller. Lover of vintage acoustic guitars, poetry & spaghetti Westerns. She is also an executive assistant at Warner Brothers Television. Her biggest influences are Chris Cornell, Bob Dylan & the Sea <3

7pm to 7:30--- Jay Matsueda
Jay Matsueda is an intelligent, contemporary songwriter and singer whose lyrical sensibilities are influenced by the cleverness of bands such as The Smiths and the Talking Heads, and whose music has been compared to diverse artists such as Tim Buckley, Joni Mitchell, Cat Stevens and Sting. Jay has released three albums to date. His genre-defying first two albums, "Eat Your Sad" and "Treat Love Kind," blend aspects of rock, jazz, folk and world music. His third release ("Live Plus Five") was a limited edition 10-track live recording, plus five bonus studio tracks. A new full length album is expected in 2014.

8pm to 8:30pm--- Howard Levinson
Howard Levinson began playing music on the accordion at the age of eight, and to the piano at ten, but was soon inspired to take up the guitar by the arrival of The Beatles, and the rest of the British Invasion bands of that time.
While playing both acoustic and electric guitars, he was influenced by the eclectic sounds of the late sixties, such as rock, blues, jazz, and country, and world music, and still incorporates all these types of music into his own personal style of playing.
8:30pm to 9pm---Carrie Wade
Carrie’s music has attracted listeners hungry for songs where expectations are heightened, making a number of her songs off of her debut album The Old Ways popular staples of terrestrial and internet radio stations. Other recognitions include a Los Angeles Music Awards’ nod for Adult Alternative Female Singer/Songwriter of the Year for her song “It’s Just Blood” and positive reviews of The Old Ways from Leicester Bangs of the UK, Roots Time of Belgium, Bluerailroad.com and LaExaminer.com. Her song “Needles in the Waves” spent some time opening the Folk Channel program on all Lufthansa Airlines’ international flights and an acoustic version of “Broken Soldier” (not on the album) was featured on Neil Young’s “Living with War Today” chart.
