Calvin Klein Model/Actor Struck by Train While Filming
Authorities say fitness guru George Gregory Plitt Jr., may have tripped and stumbled onto the train tracks while filming.

A small camera crew was with a 37-year-old actor as he was struck and killed by a Metrolink train in Burbank, police said, and detectives have ruled out suicide.
Detectives continued to interview witnesses, and police have yet to determine exactly what led up to George Gregory Plitt Jr.’s death, said Burbank police Sgt. Chris Canales.
Canales said there was a small camera crew of about three to four people with Plitt when he was struck at 4:05 p.m. Saturday on the tracks along Front Street, just north of the Burbank Metrolink Station.

“We don’t know what they were filming out there and suicide has been ruled out,” the police sergeant.
Metrolink said Plitt was hit by a southbound passenger train, Metrolink 268 on the Antelope Valley Line, heading towards Los Angeles Union Station. That train is scheduled to stop at the Burbank station on weekends at 3:59 p.m., according to Metrolink timetables.

None of the 180 passengers on the train were injured. MTA buses were brought in for them to continue their rides to Los Angeles.
The Burbank actor and fitness expert was a former Calvin Klein model, who had been featured in a Bravo TV series titled “Work Out” and on the daytime soap opera “Days of Our Lives.” He is scheduled to appear in a new Bravo show, “Friends to Lovers,” which premieres Monday, according to Variety.
A witness told ABC7 Plitt was dressed in black and carrying a video camera when he stumbled onto the tracks. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Burbank police Sgt. Scott Meadows said Saturday.
