Campus-wide Flair for a Multi-Cultural Fair
Multi-Cultural Fair is a chance for each Walter Reed student to express his or her cultural heritage as well as to learn (and eat great food) from everyone else's cultural background.
The Multi-cultural Fair is a chance, in a multi-cultural environment like Walter Reed Middle School, for students to enjoy the differences in the various cultural heritages. They even get to explain them, teach music, dances, games, and favorite songs.
Walter Reed ended the first days of July with a huge school-wide fair: Multi-Cultural Fair. Booths featured highlights and important details about each student's land of origin.
Many students chose to help with booths that were not their own heritage, learning about new traditions and cultures while creatively expressing themselves with costumes and cooking.

The food makes it even fun and very palatable. The event took place at lunch, the traditional launch time for fairs at Reed.
There were asian dumplings and egg rolls and sushi plates. There were Hawaiin beverages tailor-made with whipped cream toppings, not sure if they were traditional or just yummy. There were Ukrainian wrapped meats, Dutch chocolate treats, French bakery delights, and lots of dancing and music.

The event was DJ'd by Kamayo.
The movie shows a cross-section of booths, costumes, dancing and playful antics, and the smiling and laughing attendees of all ages. If only video caught the aromas of lunch from around the globe!
