I attended a fine performance of Porgy and Bess at the Ahmanson Theater. After the curtain call an announcement was made that donations were being taken for Broadway Cares and specifically The Phyliss Newman Women's Health Institute for women's cancer research. This appears to be a fine organization and you do not have to attend the show to donate.
