REMINDER: WALK-A-THON

Congratulations to all our students who participated in this year’s WALK-A-THON and to all the teachers who walked and cheered along with their students.  Thank you to the parents and friends who came out to lend their support. A special shout out goes to Coach Marty who kept every grade going strong and Mr. Martinez for walking the whole day and completing several miles around the track by the end of the day.

Now that you have walked the walk – it is time to talk the talk!  What is the next step, you ask?  Tell people what a great job you did, how many laps around the track you completed, and collect your donations.  We are accepting donations by cash, check or online by credit card. Please turn in your cash and check donations in your sponsorship envelope with your sponsor form filled out, to your classroom or to the office.

All donations must be received by Friday March 9th in order to count towards this year’s fabulous prizes.

· TOP PRIZE: Raise the most money forCarpenter and you will win an iPod Touch!

· SECOND PLACE PRIZE: Win 2 Tickets to Universal Studios!

· All students who raise money for the Walk-a-Thon will be entered in a drawing to win:  Laser Tag Party, Ear Buds, or Menchies Gift Certificates.

· Every student who raises $100 or more will receive an exclusive 2012 Carpenter Walk-a-thon t-shirt.

· Any class that raises the equivalent of $100 per student will win a Pizza Party.

It is not too late to sign up to receive credit for online donations.  Visit the carpenterwebsite www.carpentercharter.org and click on the WALK-A-THON button.

If you need additional sponsor forms for your cash and check donations, you can download them from the website as well.
