Clips of Walter Reed's End of Year Concert
The school says good-bye to orchestra teacher Jessica Johnson.
Parents and band members of s award-winning band and orchestra sent in video clips of their end of the year concert.
The eighth graders played their hearts out and also said good-bye to teacher who did not yet receive a letter rescinding her Reduction in Force notice, meaning that she will not be returning.
Music department leader did receive his official notice Saturday that he would be returning back to the school. The award-winning music department was part of the receiving notices of cuts at a county level.

The Eighth Grade Final Concert included the concert choir, under the directorship of singing Over the Rainbow, Blue Skies, Sh-Boom, Home on the Range, Bye Bye Blues and more.
The Wind Ensemble played songs such as Jellyfish, Saxophone on the Run and more, the Chamber Orchestra played The Swan and Concerto in A Minor Allegro, while the Walter Reed Philharmonic played Symphony No. 9 by Antonin Dvork and Suepp for Two by Bob Bockholt, which included performances by alum from the past.

Even the parent boosters of the music department got involved in a unique performance and tribute to all the parent volunteers.
