More: Founded in the summer of 2011 in Phoenix, Arizona, Southwest rock group Jared & The Mill quickly gained traction in the music scene for their unique brand of music, infusing country; blues; pop; bluegrass and indie rock. They have been honored to open for distinguished bands including: The Killers, Horse Feathers and Flogging Molly.

Their debut album, Western Expansion, was released in the fall of 2013. Pop Matters acclaimed, “the comparisons to trendsetters Mumford & Sons is almost a requisite — the abundance of the banjo, the earnest vocals, the rollicking melodies and jaunty rhythms. But, unlike them, Jared & The Mill’s songs sound distinct from one another, using similar instrumentation and techniques without relying on them for
uniformity.” This month, they are set to release a new EP “Life We Chose” with renowned producer Tony Berg (Snow Patrol, The National, Fiona Apple).
