Concert for the Cure at Walter Reed Middle School Scheduled for Saturday
Annual show, with raffle, silent auction and bake sale raises funds to benefit cancer research.
, home of an announced that the will take place at the school on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m.
Receipts from the concert of contemporary and popular music will be divided equally and donated to Children’s Cancer Research and Women’s Breast Cancer Research.
“We are delighted to present dynamic student and adult performers,” said Janice Kueppers, music teacher at Walter Reed and the event organizer. “Our goal is to use our talents to contribute to finding a cure for cancer in my students’ lifetimes.”

Performers include a professional men’s barbershop chorus, the Walter Reed 8th Grade Girls Barbershop Quartets and Boys Quartet, the Barbershop Chorus, 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Choir, and more.
The event will include a raffle, silent auction and bake sale, all of which will benefit the designated charities. Ticket holders will have the opportunity to recognize loved ones fighting cancer, with stars marked “In Honor Of” with their names. Ticket holders can also have “In Memory Of” stars created to memorialize other friends and family.

Doors open at 1 p.m. with the concert beginning at 2 p.m. Come early for the raffles, silent auctions, delicious baked goods and other items for sale.
Tickets will be available the day of the show at the auditorium of , 4525 Irvine Avenue, 818-487-7600. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students.
