On that note, according to Descanso Gardens marketing manager, Jen Errico, visitors to Descanso Gardens have doubled in the past five years ever since Enchanted: Forest of Light began its gorgeous brilliant illuminating presentations. Attendees can’t wait until spring and summer to return when the gardens are in full fabulous bloom.
Another amazing section is The Japanese Garden that displays red lanterns which will subsequently become cherry blossoms in the spring. Similarly, the iconic oak tress currently in the Oaks Grove are shining so intensely, you can observe their radiant luminous beauty at close range, a priceless precious opportunity.

Jen gave kudos to the terrifically talented team of designers involved in creating such innovative interactive immersive works of art and I second the emotion. Each motif is extraordinary on its own merit, a vision to treasure in wonder and reverence.
Tom Fruin, a New York based expert, uses recycled material from old plastic signs to construct the stained glass houses in the Starlight Garden. Hybycozo, a Los Angeles based maestro, has produced giant shaped mathematical sculptures on the main lawn that are state of the art, A plus, top notch, first rate masterpieces.
Every astounding astonishing arrangement in the Forest of Light is designated for protection of the natural ecology. The crew is directed to respect the environment and ensure nothing in the original habitat is disturbed including the many precious animals that roam the territory and sleep above the lake.
The Ancient Forest is Jen’s favorite because it’s like “taking a big breath, clearing your mind, and looking at something with complete awe.” I must admit I agree this extravaganza is breathtaking astonishing and astounding.
Jen loves going out in the Gardens when they first open to observe kids happily running around free as birds (especially due to the last year of pandemic isolation) with grinning faces overwhelmed at the amazing array and ambience.
Hearing how the exhibition has become an annual family tradition is the most meaningful part for Jen. She’s appreciative for the honor to initiate and instigate such a blissful occasion.
Jen hopes the take away for guests is “to have a moment, take a break, and enjoy nature.” She revealed that some have even proposed during the event!!
Additionally, Jen wants friends, family, and fans to recognize that Enchanted is unique because it not only focuses on aspects of nature but consists of “unexpected special surprises unlike anything else in the City.”
