Disney Actor Adam Hicks Busted In String Of Armed Robberies
Adam Hicks, the star of "Zeke and Luther," was arrested for allegedly holding up pedestrians at gunpoint in Burbank.

BURBANK, CA — Adam Hicks, a former Disney child actor, was arrested in Burbank Wednesday in connection with a string of armed robberies.
Hicks, best known for starring in the title role of Disney’s "Zeke and Luther," as well as "Freakish" and the Jennifer Lopez flick "The Boy Next Door," allegedly held up multiple people in a frenetic series of street robberies early Wednesday morning.
It started at about 5:15 a.m. Wednesday when a 52-year-old man was walking in the area of Burbank Boulevard and Griffith Park Drive.
"The suspect pointed the handgun at the victim and demanded his wallet. Fearing for his life, the victim ran away and was able to escape to safety,” according to the Burbank Police Department. “As police officers were investigating the first robbery, three additional armed street robberies occurred within minutes of each other. All three took place in the Burbank hillside community and involved unsuspecting victims out for a walk.”

The brazen robbers continued to terrorize the neighborhood even as police descended on the area. However, they got caught when a witness spotted the suspects' dark-colored Kia, according to police. Officers arrested a woman in the car, where they found property belonging to one of the robbery victims, and additional stolen property in a nearby area, police said. The arrest led the Burbank Police Department S.W.A.T. Team to raid a home in the 1800 block of North Niagara Street.
There, police arrested Hicks, 25, and 23-year-old Danni Tamburo. Police allege Hicks was the gunman and Tamburo was the getaway driver. Officers serving a search warrant at the home found additional stolen property, according to the Burbank Police Department.
