Don't Get Caught in this Week's 55-Hour Freeway Closure
Caltrans officials are warning drivers to avoid this weekend-long freeway closure.
Pasadena, CA - It won’t be easy trying to get through Pasadena this weekend thanks to a 55-hour closure of the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway.
The closure, to accommodate pavement repairs, will begin at 10 p.m. Friday, and it’s expected to last until 5 a.m. Monday morning.
"The closures are part of a $148.5 million pavement rehabilitation project in both directions of I-210 in the cities of Glendale, La Canada Flintridge and Pasadena," according to Caltrans. "Once the project is completed in 2018 the new surface will provide a smoother, safer drive for motorists, reduce time required for maintenance and minimize the need for further lane closures."

The westbound lanes of the 210 will be closed between Lake Avenue and Mountain Street. Additionally, the eastbound connector from the Ventura (134) Freeway to the westbound 210 will be closed.
Several on and off-ramps will also be closed including the westbound 210 Freeway off-ramps at Marengo Avenue and Mountain Street as well as the Walnut Street on-ramp.
