Downed Power Lines Block 5 Freeway

Traffic has started moving again on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Burbank, where power lines had fallen across the roadway.

The freeway was been closed in both directions at Alameda Avenue in Burbank due to live power lines that fell across the roadway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP Officer Patrick Kimball says two people who were in a vehicle that drove over a live power line on the Golden State (5) Freeway near Alameda Avenue are complaining of pain, and paramedics have been called to the scene.
