Drink Too Much at the Holiday Party? Metro's Offering Free Rides to Get You Home

Throughout Los Angeles, Metro will offer free bus and train rides late at night on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Too much to drink on Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve? Instead of driving, take a free bus or train instead.

Metro will offer free rides on its bus and rail lines from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

Fare gates at rail stations will be unlocked during those hours, and there will be no need to tap a TAP card. Anyone who mistakenly does so will not be charged, according to Metro.
