'Free Willy' Star Locked Up On Domestic Violence Charge
Jason James Richter, the actor who starred in "Free Willy" was arrested in the San Fernando Valley on suspicion of domestic violence.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Jason James Richter, the actor who starred in the "Free Willy" movies was arrested at his San Fernando Valley home this week on suspicion of domestic violence.
Richter was arrested Monday and released Wednesday on $20,000 bail, charged with a a single count of vandalism and another count of battery, TMZ first reported. Richter allegedly had an argument with his girlfriend at their home around 7 p.m. Monday night and when she ran to the bedroom and locked the door, he broke it down and "it got physical," TMZ reported.
Four hours later, the woman went to police and reported that Richter grabbed her wrists, but sources said officers did not see any visible marks, according to TMZ.

Richter is best known as the little boy who starred in the movie "Free Willy" and its sequel "Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home." He played the role of "Jesse" in both movies.
If convicted, he could face up to a year in jail.
