George Clooney Discusses Film Career at Studio City Office
Longtime local Clooney prefers being a candidate on screen to running for office in real life.

George Clooney gave an interview at this Studio City office recently to John Horn at the Los Angeles Times and discussed President Obama, his new movie The Ides of March and running for office himself.
In the movie, Clooney plays a liberal presidential candidate. Inside the Studio City offices of his production company Smoke House, Clooney searched the TV screen for the charismatic senator the actor had supported in the 2008 election. But Obama looked defensive and a bit gassed; life in the White House was grinding him down.
“I think he’s getting beat around,” Clooney said, the way a Little League dad might cheer on a son struggling on the pitching mound. “He should go after the S&P for the credit downgrade.”
