Getting Out of Studio City Through Cahuenga Pass May Be Difficult
Construction on Barham, and through the Cahuenga Pass is a nightmare today and tomorrow.
Road construction on Barham Bouelvard near the 101 Bridge and along Cahuenga Bouelvard near the Hollywood Bowl is making it tough for people to get in and out of the San Fernando Valley this weekend.
Two road construction projects have completely blocked certain segments of the pass.
At Barham Boulevard, the road construction going northbound from the Warner Brothers Studios to Universal Studios is blocked on the uphill (northbound side). One easy solution is the ss that takes you up through the Hollywood Hills.

But if coming down through the Cahuenga Pass, even with the you will have trouble getting into Hollywood because the Cahuenga Bouelvard section next to the Hollywood Bowl is blocked.
Then, you have to depend on the Outpost Outback short-cut in order to get down to Hollywood (puts you out at Franklin Avenue and LaBrea). That won't be a problem as far as the "No left Turn" onto Outpost because it's a weekend.

Getting into Toluca Lake, Studio City and the San Fernando Valley is easy, and the 101 freeway seems pretty smooth, but getting out is the tough part. Even the onramps are slow.
Just after noon today, it took 55 minutes to go half a mile in what would normally be a 5-minute trip from Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank to in the Cahuenga Pass.
Meanwhile, service on the Blue Line will be truncated south of downtown Los Angeles tonight and Sunday night as engineers test switches and signals at the Blue Line's junction with the new Expo Line tracks, according to City News Service.
No trains will run north of the Washington Station after 7 p.m. each night. Shuttle buses will ferry passengers between the Washington, Pico, Grand, San Pedro and Seventh Street stations.
The agency building the Expo Line and Metro have been squabbling on compatibility and construction issues, and the start of service on the new Expo Line has been delayed several months, according to published reports. No date has been set for the start of Expo Line service between downtown Los Angeles, USC and Culver City.
Preliminary construction has begun on Phase 2, which will extend the Expo Line to Santa Monica.
And over the Christmas holiday, the federal government approved a plan to build a branch of light rail passenger service from downtown via the Expo Line to Crenshaw Boulevard, then south through Leimert Park and Inglewood to connect to the Green Line near LAX.
Studies are also underway on a downtown L.A. light rail tunnel to connect the Blue, Expo and Crenshaw lines with the Gold Line at Little Tokyo.

The road construction is expected to be completed by Monday (we hope!)
