Harvard-Westlake Girls Volleyball Rounds up Week with a Win and a Loss
The girls volleyball team fell on the road against the Chaminade Eagles on Thursday but defeated Alemany on Friday to finish up their week.

The girls volleyball team fell on the road against the Chaminade Eagles on Oct 20th in four sets (25-19, 22-25, 26-24, 25-13).
Chaminade outplayed the Wolverines in the first set, however the team managed to pick up the pace in the second set and win a hard-fought second set.
After a close loss in the third set, the Wolverines were unable to bounce back and dropped another set en route to their second loss of the week.

“We had a tough time recovering and lost our grip on our chance of catching up,” hitter Arielle Winfield ’13 said.
The following day the Wolverines were set to host the Alemany Warriors at home. The team defeated their guest in straight sets (25-18, 25-12, 25-15).for the second time this season to cap a strong finish to the week.

Outside hitter Nicole Gould ’13 was a strong presence for the team on the defensive side of the ball with 11 digs.
The team looks forward to next week with Mission League games against Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy and Lakewood before departing for the Santa Barbara Tournament on Friday.
