Hallmark Asks to Install Sign and New Restaurant Asks to Expand

Two planning department requests will affect properties along Ventura Boulevard.

Two proposals are being sought along Ventura Boulevard that may eventually go to the Los Angeles City Planning Department.

The department regularly lets the Studio City Neighborhood Council know what projects may be proposed for the area, and give the case numbers and contact people involved so the general public can weigh in on the plans.

The first is a request for an expansion at 11928 Ventura Blvd. at the former across the street from the and they are asking for an expansion to an existing commercial building and a change of use to turn it into a restaurant. The application was taken out on Nov. 21. The contact person is Camille Zeitouny at Zeitouny & Associates at (323) 892-1168. The case number is: DIR-2011-3002-SPP.

The second potential request is the installation of Channel lettering and a crown logo at the at 12700 Ventura Blvd. The application was taken out on Nov. 22. The contact person is Todd Moriarty at (818) 445-1100.

Both applications request a Specific Plan Project Permit and a Categorical Exemption. Both are in the Ventura-Cahuenga Boulevard Corridor Specific Plan area.
