Harvard-Westlake to Host Cuba and Czech Republic Special Olympics Athletes

On Thursday night, July 23, Harvard-Westlake School will host more than 150 athletes and coaches from Cuba and the Czech Republic, along with community leaders and volunteers, for the Studio City Host Town Community BBQ. The event, which is being held in conjunction with the Special Olympics World Games, will celebrate the athletes with a fun evening of food, entertainment and community camaraderie. Los Angeles Councilman Paul Krekorian, who represents Studio City, is also expected to attend.

“Harvard-Westlake is thrilled to host athletes from Cuba and the Czech Republic on our Studio City campus,” stated Harvard-Westlake President Rick Commons. “It is an honor for us to make our facilities available to the Special Olympics, the athletes, and the Studio City community.”
