Harvard-Westlake Junior Water Polo Player Commits to UCLA
Junior Alec Zwaneveld is already tapped for UCLA water polo team.

He's 6-foot-7 and 225 pounds and a junior in high school at in Studio City. No wonder the UCLA Bruins want him for their
Alec Zwaneveld announced his commitment to play water polo for Coaches Adam Wright and Adam Krikorian and the UCLA Bruins in the fall of 2012.
Zwaneveld is considered to be one of theo prospects in the nation in the Class of 2012.

"UCLA has the best combination of academics, athletics, coaching and location. UCLA also has a strong water polo tradition and is one of the top Division I water polo programs in the country," the youth said. "After a lot of discussion with my family and coaches, I knew it was the right place for me."
This past season, Zwaneveld led his team with 90 goals, 31 steals, 20 blocked shots and 67 drawn ejections and earned numerous honors including Division I All-CIF, All-Mission League and was named to the Daily News All-Area Team.

He is also currently a member of the USA Water Polo Youth National Team and Los Angeles Water Polo Club. Other recent honors include 2010 U.S. Junior Olympics 16U Platinum Division All-American and Bronze Medalist (Los Angeles Water Polo Club), and 2010 U.S. Club Championships All-American and Gold Medalist (Los Angeles Water Polo Club). Zwaneveld’s Harvard-Westlake Water Polo Coach is Robert Lynn, a 2000 U.S. Olympian, Assistant Coach with the 2008 Silver Medal winning U.S. Men's Olympic Water Polo Team, and current Assistant Coach of the U.S. Senior National Team.
Zwaneveld's Los Angeles Water Polo Club coach is Dusty Litvak, the 2010 CIF Division IV Coach of the Year, Agoura High School Water Polo Head Coach and USA Water Polo Olympic Development Program 11th Grade Head Coach for the Coastal California Zone.
