Harvard-Westlake Pool Begins a Facelift Finally

More construction is planned on campus, awaiting permits.

Construction work is going on at the Harvard-Westlake campus while the roads along the school continue to be uprooted for a trunk line sewer project.

The pool is being fixed, and a road next to Taper Gymnasium was ripped up to begin the electrical phase of work for new construction.

The student-runreports that the Head of Campus Operations and Construction J.D. De Matte said he hopes the City of Los Angeles will grant the permits for the Kutler Center soon.

About half of the financing for the pool has been donated by Peter and Judy Copses (Henry ’14, John ’14), who turned out for the groundbreaking on Tuesday. (See photo.)
