Health Risk Warnings

Four new warnings about our food supply

For milk drinkers there is undeniable proof that an ingredient known as BGH which stands for Bovine Growth Hormone, is being routinely used on cows to increase productivity. This substance increases the tendency of cows to get udder infections. Because sick cows are also given antibiotics the consumer may very well be drinking pus along with antibiotics in the milk. A substance thought to be healthy may increase the incidence of cancer in humans. The use of antibiotics on cows may also increase the risk of passing on antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

Farm-raised salmon is often labeled as Atlantic salmon but is farm-raised in toxic and overcrowded conditions. The fish are sprayed with insecticides and fungicides not suitable for human consumption. One chemical used on them called Astaxanthin has been implicated in damage to the human retina. Buy only Alaskan sockeye salmon for your health.

The artificial butter flavoring used on microwave popcorn is a huge health risk. It can do major damage to your lungs. The ingredient sprayed on the popcorn is called diacetyl. Workers handling it use gas masks. Heavy consumers of the product are developing a life-threatening condition known as “popcorn lung”.
