Take it from someone who has dabbled in every possible inspirational and transformational practice. There is something about The DEN that surpasses all expectations.
I'm not sure if it's the extremely warm welcoming staff; the highly skilled, approachable, enthusiastic, encouraging instructors; or the fact that you are communing with like minded souls; or perhaps a combination of the three.
Whatever the reason, this is the season to fill your bucket to the brim with gratitude, i.e. your internal spiritual bucket. You might be saying 'meditation?' Are you kidding me? Well this is much much more.
It's a place to reach the depths of your beauty, the depths of your goodness, the depths of your competency, the depths of your worth, the depths of your creativity, and subsequently acknowledge the same in each person you encounter.
These classes and workshops ought to be mandatory for every child and adult on the planet, starting in elementary school. Powers that be, are you listening?? Wake up and smell the hummus!! It's adamant as a requirement to become a teacher, a parent, a priest, a rabbi, a spouse, an employee, an employer a politician, or the PRESIDENT!!
Do not pass go, do not collect $200, go directly to The DEN and avoid the hustle and bustle of the holidays! You will, in turn, be bequeathing those you care about with highly beneficial presents, the presence of your highest self, your best self.
If you sincerely want to be a hero(ine), share your discovery of The DEN with loved ones by buying them a gift pass and you won't have to watch their disappointed faces while they open obligatory, meaningless tokens.
Tal Rabinowitz, owner of The DEN, started the enterprise out of personal need. Tal reveals, "I was meditating and had a corporate job and a busy life. I kept looking online for somewhere I could drop in and take a class before or after work in order to keep a regular practice. It didn’t exist!!!! I couldn’t believe that between Pilates, yoga, cross fit, dance classes, etc. there were no meditation classes."
When asked about her goals in providing such a service, Tal responded that she wishes attendees, "learn to feel comfortable with who they are and trust themselves." She particularly enjoys "watching attitudes and perspectives start changing after one class and seeing beautiful connections develop between people who may never have crossed paths before."
Regarding memorable reactions Tal has received from customers, she said, "Sometimes we receive thank you notes. We can really be a place of refuge for someone when they are going through something rough in their life. And it makes all of us at The DEN so happy to know we can be there for anybody when they may need it."
Excited to join the Studio City neighborhood, Tal expressed, "Everyone has been so kind, friendly and welcoming. There is definitely a small neighborhood feel."
Tal confirms the fact that The DEN is not just meditation classes. "We are a place for wellness. Not only should the space feel like peaceful haven for you, but we also have healings, local and international retreats throughout the year, tons of certifications (our teacher training 400hr starts in January), and a kid’s program. We do a ton of community events."
Ultimately, Tal concludes, "We are a space you can come find yourself and be yourself, whomever and wherever you are. We always say, 'Come as you are, leave feeling better.'
Don't miss the Breathwork Workshop this Friday December 1st from 8:15-9:45pm, led by Jon Paul Crimi, a former Personal Trainer to countless celebrities for two decades, and now a Sober Coach and Breathwork Teacher to Hollywood’s Elite.
Jon Paul brings a no-nonsense east-coast edge and sense of humor, not often found in the Meditation arena. He has been seen on Good Morning America, featured in Huffington Post and The Hollywood Reporter, as well as many other worldwide publications.
After a chance encounter with Tony Robbins that cracked his heart wide open, Jon Paul began studying under several gifted healers. As a result, he has the unique ability to pass on a blend of breath work created by these various mentors and coaches. Visit him at breathewithjp.com
Jon Paul combines Breathwork and a heart opening meditation designed to make sure you "leave feeling 100 percent stress-free, but even more important with a newfound clarity about life, and gratitude you didn't arrive with."
He believes meditation helps you get better control over your emotions, leading to better physical health and a much more fulfilling existence. Jon Paul suggests not worrying about getting it right, but to just keep showing up. "If you can breathe then you can meditate."
Jon Paul admits he tried every form of meditation out there which only made him feel frustrated and like a failure...until he found this particular form of Breathwork. He never expected it would "completely turn off my brain and leave me feeling like I was whole and complete for the first time ever."
"Don't take my word for it," Jon Paul asserts. "Come find out for yourself. I'm a results guy, and the results are undeniable. You'll know right away that it works."
According to Jon Paul, The DEN is special because, "It's a not like some of these other meditation studios where they rush you in and out (I call that McDonalds Meditation). The DEN is designed so you can relax in the lobby before and after with like-minded people and share your experiences with the classes or whatever's going on. It's a real community. Owner Tal Rabinowitz created it with the intention of helping people connect to their best self and I feel she's done a phenomenal job of just that."
