The gossip was "What to do on the 4th (of July)." The CBS fireworks have been a staple in Studio City for years. Then I spied a poster announcing a 4th of July parade. A parade! I'm always game for a parade. I dearly miss the Studio City Holiday Parade sponsored by the Studio City Chamber which ran along Ventura Boulevard - marching Cub Scouts, elephants, stilt walkers.  The poster for this 4th of July parade set the parade route along Valley Spring. Kids on bikes, scooters, strollers, and new newfangled types of transportation I did not recognize. Everything was decked out with patriot bunting. Parents and dogs got into the act as well. Good old fashioned fun. My favorite was bubble wrap taped to the ground where kids were stomping and jumping, gleefully popping the bubbles.  I'd never heard of this 4th of July tradition. Turns out that there are several neighbors in Studio City that have these kinds of events on the 4th.  How does this tie in with finding the names of neighborhoods? I got lost, and happened upon a local who tried to orient me by telling me I was in Footbridge Square. So "where exactly is this neighborhood?" I asked.
